Boughton Podium 2 Turf substrate has been designed for landscaping projects where weight loading is not an issue.

Its higher content of finer particles means that a wide range of plants can be grown in this mixture providing it is installed at an adequate depth. The substrate is ideal for turfing applications

Applications & Installation

Boughton Podium substrate with its higher sand content is designed for podiums that are to be grassed and traffic. The substrate should be laid at a depth of 100 to 150 mm long term irrigation is likely to be required.

Boughton Podium 2 Green Roof Substrate meets and exceeds all present GRO guidelines. The depth of substrate is determined by the planting scheme and the weight loading capability of the roof which must be assessed by a qualified structural engineer. Our substrates can be delivered in any required format. This includes 25ltr and IBC Bulk bags. Or loose tipped as required
