Fauna & Flora International
We are humbled to donate a bespoke soil mix to Fauna & Flora in support of their garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2023. Designed by award winning designer Jilayne Rickards, and landscaped by Tecwyn Evans (Living Landscapes) their garden display captures a real life gorilla trek through the lush changing landscapes of Central Africa.
Fauna & Flora deeply care about and have been working to conserve mountain gorillas since 1978, following a meeting with Vice-President Sir David Attenborough, where conservation efforts led to the establishment of the Mountain Gorilla Project, the success of which went on to become the International Gorilla Conservation Programme (IGCP), a collaboration between multiple conservation partners.
Boughton supplied a special soil mix of 80% PAS100 compost and 20% single sourced, Natural Topsoil to produce a blend that better visually represents African soil for the project, whilst also remaining workable and supportive of the displays plants. The end result on the garden is truly inspiring and we encourage all visitors of the show to visit the stand and experience the visual spectacle: Stand Number – CFS23
